Issue #83 - "Enter the Temple"

*Previously on Blu the Monkey*

Blu is still stuck in the past by the evil Zero! Kiwi, an ancient powerful being is helping Blu travel to see his friends' pasts. Each past has had an interesting twist that makes Blu think of his friends in a new light. He is learning a lot, but now he sees his friend's past who recently passed away...

Blu: "Kiwi, I have been thinking and I have two very important questions to ask you. First, are my friends back home safe? Is time still moving in the future, I mean the present?"

Kiwi: "I cannot reveal if they are safe from evil. Time moves in all realms: past, present, and future."

Blu: "Secondly, what if all my friends from the past came to the present with me to save, well, themselves!"

Kiwi: "You cannot break the structure of time."

Blu: "I can certainly try."

Meanwhile...

Cheep's Mother: "Cheep, we have signed you up with private tutoring lessons with the wisest plushie in Jamaa: Professor Salem. You will stay with her for the week."

Cheep's Father: "With her training, you will be a very intelligent child. You will surely win the Temple of Trivia gameshow."

Professor Salem: "I will do my best. He will win the Temple of Trivia."

Cheep's Mother: "Thanks, Salem. We love you, Cheep. We only want the best for you. See you later this week!"

Prof. Salem: "Well, Cheep. Welcome to my home. We are going to work together. I will teach you everything I know. Now START READING!"

Cheep: O.O

Prof. Salem: "Just kidding, we will start out slow."

Cheep: "Why must I win the Temple of Trivia, Ms. Salem?"

Prof. Salem: "Your parents want you to succeed. They love you very much. Win it for them."

One Week Later...

Prof. Salem: "I believe you are ready, Cheep. You can do this. You are a very bright plushie."

Cheep: "I'm nervous."

Prof. Salem: "Don't be nervous. We practiced for this."

Cheep: "Mommy says I am intelligent."

Prof. Salem: "She is telling the truth. Now go win the TEMPLE OF TRIVIA!"

*Cheep enters the Temple*

Skal: "Whose past is this?"

Kiwi: "This is your friend, Cheep. He is currently winning the Temple of Trivia."

Cheep: "The longest river in Africa is the Nile River."

Blu: "Cheep. I miss him so much."

Chuck: "Why?"

Blu: "In the present, he isn't alive."

Announcer: "Cheep has won the Temple of Trivia!"

After the gameshow...

Cheep: "Oh, hello there. Who are all of you?"

Blu: "We are friends. Congratulations on your win!"

Cheep: "Wait a minute, that is KIWI! The ancient lizard that was granted time traveling powers by Mira herself! I have learned about you! I thought you were a myth!"

Blu: "What if you time traveled with us? We are on an important mission!"

Cheep: "YES, lets go!"

Blu: Can I hug you?"

Cheep: "Haha, um.. sure!"

*All Enter Portal*

Maple: "Woah, where are we now? THIS LOOKS LIKE A PARTY!"

Blu: "How many more past do we have to visit before going to the present?"

Kiwi: "We are almost there. It is almost time. Three more to go. Then the present adhere."

Blu: "Three more. Hmm... I wonder whose past is this."

Announcer: "Welcome to the fourth annual Talent Show!"

Skal: "Great, another gameshow.."

Issue #82 - "Sweet Maple Sugar"

*Previously on Blu the Monkey*

Blu, Kiwi, and Chuck are time-traveling in the past when they meet Violet, who lost her grandpa when he went on a space mission. They try to cheer her up and give her hope. She joins them on their next adventure to find Maple...

Skal: "Where are we now? Whose past is at a candy factory?"

Violet: "Wait a minute, no one told me anything about time travel." O.O

Chuck: "That freaky lizard over there can catch you up."

Blu: "I think I know exactly who it is. It is the most hyper friend I know."

Blu: "Maple."

Maple: "Hello everyone! You must be my new recruits that start today. Welcome to Sweet Treats Candy Factory! Lets start right away! Come with me and I will show you all where to start working!

Skal: "We didn't come here to work!"

Violet: "Ya, I want to go home."

Chuck: *whispers* "She is so hyper and beautiful. I think I am in love."

Blu: "Everyone calm down. Lets just see what happens. We are working with candy after all, how hard could it be."

Maple: "I have worked here all alone since I was little. I have to eat lots of candy to stay energetic! Just keep hoppin' is what I always say!"

Skal: "Aren't you a little young to be running this business by yourself?"

Maple: "Nope! Purple fox, you will be assigned in the kitchen. Start the candy from scratch."

Chuck: "Hey, you are from the future. Please tell me that me and Maple date."

Kiwi: "Your future look promising."

Maple: "Okay, Giant Lizard, Scales, and Chicken Hat, you are all on the production line. When the ice cream comes your way, fill the cones, top the cones, and put them in the freezer. Got it? Good!"

Skal: "Okay, okay! Just please calm down. Your energy is giving me a serious headache."

Maple: "Come on monkey, you are with me outside in the cotton candy hut."

Maple: "Don't tell anyone, but sometimes I sneak cotton candy home with me. Kind of like a tip for working hard!"

Blu: "Haha. I can't believe you work here by yourself."

Maple: "I am used to it. I am very tired of working. I'M JUST A KID! I am very independent, but I am a very social!"

Blu: "Even as a kid you were so strong. I am glad I came."

Maple: "You sound like you know me."

*LOUD BLAST!*

Chuck: "EVERYBODY RUN!"

Maple: "What is going on? What is happening?"

Violet: "That crocodile broke the gumball machine!"

Skal: "I have been a pirate most of my life. I have never seen gumball machines!"

Blu: "Hurry, get out of the factory."

Kiwi: "Embrace the gumball."

Everyone: "HAHA!"

Maple: "Wow, I didn't know work could be this fun. You guys made it enjoyable!"

Blu: "Everything is fun when you do it with your friends."

Maple: "I guess that is true. You guys are the only 'friends' I have ever known."

Blu: "Maple, do you want to travel with us. We are going on adventures. It would be better than working."

Maple: "YES! YES! YES! I LOVE adventures!"

Issue #81 - "Love You to the Moon and Back"

*Previously on Blu the Monkey*

Blu, Kiwi, and Chuck are time-traveling in the past when they fall upon Captain Melville's Pirate Ship. Skal was found on the ship, and the ship crashed into Kani Cove. Now, Skal joins Blu, Kiwi, and Chuck as they travel to all of Blu's friends pasts...

Violet: "I'm sorry. I don't know you. I need to go now. Nice to meet you.:

Chuck: "She is so shy! Are you sure you know her, Blu?"

Blu: "Yes, I know her. Now, wait Violet. Why were you crying at the fountain?"

Violet: *sniffs* "My grandpa. He is an astronaut. I have always loved and looked up to him. Last week he went up to the moon, and we haven't heard from him since."

Blu: "Oh no! I am sure he is okay."

Violet: "I don't know if that is true. Which is why I have to go up there!"

*They all walk inside*

Skal: "Up there? As in, THE MOON! You are just a kid. You can't be an astronaut!"

Violet: "I know, I know. That is what they all say. I have been coming here to NASA (National Animal Space Association) for weeks begging them to take me to space. They even blocked off the door to their office so I couldn't come back."

Blu: "You have to go to space! You need to save your grandpa! We will help you get in."

Kiwi: "The sky is the limit. Grasp your destiny and you will find your fate. I will help you get in, follow me and climb up here."

Chuck: "Why does he always talk like that?!"

Violet: "Thanks for helping me you guys."

Blu: "No problem. Anything for a friend."

Violet: "We just met..."

Skal: "Enough chat! Lets go inside and demand a spaceship to the moon."

Violet: "WAIT. I don't think I can do this. I don't know how to fly a spaceship. I wouldn't know where to go on the moon."

Kiwi: "You can do anything you put your mind to. Let us go inside."

Arctic Wolf: "Oh. It's you. I suppose you are back to demand to go to space."

Violet: "Yes! I think my grandpa is stuck on the moon. We haven't had communication with him in days!"

Arctic Wolf: "I am sure he is fine. We told you, you are too young to go to space. Now go back home, you are just a kid!"

Skal: "Hey, be respectful! Kids have rights too!"

Arctic Wolf: "SECURITY!"

Minutes Later...

Skal: "Wow, I can't believe they kicked us out."

Violet: "That is the last time they will let me in here! I will never save my grandpa! He will be stuck in space forever!" 

*runs out crying*

Blu: "Violet! Come back, please!"

Kiwi: "It is no use. She needs time. Time heals a broken heart. I have a feeling she will meet her grandfather again."

Blu: "You are right, Kiwi. Before we go see another one of my friends pasts, can we go to her house to see if she is okay?"

Later...

Violet: "Oh, it is you. Can you just leave me alone? I am sorry to be upfront, but you are complete strangers."

Blu: "What if I told you that we aren't complete strangers. We know you. Just come with us. Please, meet us in Jamaa Township tomorrow morning. Just think about it."

Violet: "Okay, thanks for your help today."

That Night...

Violet: "Grandpa, I know you can't hear me. But I know you are up there. It must be fun up there. I miss you a lot and I hope you are okay. Get home soon. I love you to the moon and back."

On the Moon...

Violet's Grandpa: "Violet, I know you are probably looking at me up here. It is fun up here. I wish my communication systems were working so I could tell you everything is okay. I will get home soon. I love you to the moon and back."

Issue #80 - "Captain's Orders

*Previously on Blu the Monkey*

Blu and Chuck found out the real reason how Kiwi gained his powers. Now Kiwi has taken them to a pirate ship where they found a young Skal. The pirate ship is named after Captain Melville himself...

Skal's Father: "I am Sharktooth. What are you doing aboard Captain Melville's Pirate Ship?!"

Blu: "It is a very long story. I know your son, Skal."

Skal: "I have never seen you before! How do you know my name?"

Captain Melville: "What is all that noise?"

Sharktooth: "Hurry, he is coming! You all need to hide, right away! Captain Melville is very strict!"

Captain Melville: "ATTENTION! Get into your formation!"

Sharktooth and Skal: "Yes, sir!"

Captain Melville: "Are you the new crew members here to swap the deck?"

Chuck: "NO WAY! I didn't come along with you to work, Blu!"

Captain Melville: "So, if you are not here to work, you are trespassers! Sharktooth, show them the plank."

Skal: "No dad! Don't do it! They are innocent!"

Captain Melville: "It sounds to me like your son knows these trespassers."

Sharktooth: "No, he does not. He is just being childish, sir!"

*CRASH! BOOM!*

Blu: "What was that?!?"

Captain Melville: " We have hit some coral in this shallow water. The gears are stuck! We have crashed! THIS SHIP IS GOING DOWN! Everyone abandon ship! This pirate ship will be at the bottom of Kani Cove before you can say the word AAARRRGGGHHH!"

*Pirate Ship starts to sink*

Blu: "Captain Melville! We have to go to the surface. The ship is gone."

Captain Melville: "This ship has been my life! If it goes down, I go down with it!"

Blu: "Not on my watch!"

Captain Melville: "Sharktooth and Skal, you are FIRED! It is your fault. Because you weren't working and paying attention. The ship sunk! I am going to have to get a job at the Summer Carnival now!"

Sharktooth: "Skal. I am very disappointed. That monkey says that he knows you! He must be your friend! You are grounded!!"

Kiwi: "Time is relative. Determine your future."

Chuck: "You are one strange cookie, Kiwi."

Later....

Blu: "Well that was an adventure. Skal, what are you doing here?"

Skal: "I am coming with you guys. It's not like I have a job anymore thanks to you."

Blu: "Great, I am glad you are coming with us."

Violet: *sobbing*

Blu: "Violet?! Why are you crying?"

Violet: "Who are you? Do we know each other?"

Meanwhile, in the present...

Barrett the Polar Bear: "What now, Boss?"

Zero: "Now, the fun begins. I threw Blu the Monkey into the past forever!"

Felicity the Lynx: "What about all of his friends and family? What do we do with them?"

Zero: "We destroy them. They are not useful to us anymore. We only took them to lure Blu here. Blu was the most powerful Alpha out there. Now, lets move on with our plan: Take over Jamaa!"

Issue #79 - "Jamaa's Past"

*Previously on Blu the Monkey*

Eight years into the past Blu found his old pal Chuck. Chuck's father passed away, and Blu is destined to change the past to bring Chuck's father back. All of the sudden, a portal appears and a gecko enters...

Gecko: "Blu the Monkey. Stop right there. You cannot bring that wolf's father back."

Blu: "Do I know you? Who are you to tell me what I can or can't do?!"

Kiwi: "My name is Kiwi. I am a powerful plushie able to jump through time and space. One thing I know is that you cannot change the past. No matter how hard you try."

Blu: "WAIT! If you can jump through time, will you take me back to the present day? My friends need my help!"

Kiwi: "I will bring you back to the present, but not yet. You were brought into the past for a reason, Blu. Let me show you something."

Blu: "Are you serious? My friends need me! There is an evil owl, named Zero and--"

Kiwi: "I know. We will save them, but not yet. You are not finished with the past. Now, lets go through this portal."

Chuck: "Time-traveling Gecko says what?!"

Blu: "He is the only chance we have, Chuck. Lets go."

*Pops out of portal*

Blu: "Where, or should I say, when are we?"

Kiwi: "We are at the beginning of Jamaa. The BETA DAYS. Right after Jamaa was created, the Alphas were building and exploring. See that little gecko on that column over there? That is me, when I was little."

Chuck: "You are old!"

Kiwi: "You said it. I am Beta old. Nobody can see us right now. Look over there! Some of the Alphas!"

Liza: "Wow, thank you Mira and Zios for Jamaa!"

Peck: "This place is amazing, and I can't believe we were chosen to guard, protect, and explore Jamaa from the phantoms."

Greely: "We stopped the phantoms, but I still have a feeling we are not the only ones on this land. Split up and look around. Trust no one."

Peck: "Relax, Greely. Nothing is out to get us. It's not like the phantoms are here. We destroyed them. They will probably never come back!"

Liza: "I think I see something over there on that column. I will be right back."

Liza: "Hello little fella! Who are you?"

Kiwi (past): "My name is Kiwi. Thank you for saving us from the phantoms. I love Jamaa, I wish I could live here forever."

Liza: "I just might be able to make that happen. Follow me over here by the statue of Mira."

Blu: "What is she going to do?"

Kiwi (present): "Just watch what happens."

Liza: "Now stand still, little Kiwi. This Mira statue is very special. It contains some of Mira's powers. It makes it easier to communicate with her."

*Statue glows, magic falls onto Kiwi*

Kiwi (past): "Woah! What is going on Liza?"

Liza: "You have been granted special powers from Mira herself. Now you can live here forever. You have the ability to time travel and create portals to stay here forever."

Kiwi (present): "Okay, Blu and Chuck, lets go back 8 years into the past."

*Goes through portal*

Chuck: "Why aren't we back in Coral Canyons?"

Kiwi: "Who said we were going back to Coral Canyons? Blu needs to witness the past of his other friends."

Blu: "Skal, is that you? You are so little!"

Skal: "Dad, we have visitors!"

Skal's Father: "Welcome aboard Captain Meliville's Pirate Ship."

Blu: "Skal was a... PIRATE?"

Blu is venturing through the past to find his way back to the future. He found his parents on their wedding day, and also another portal. Where and more importantly when will he end up next? Find out right now...

*8 Years Ago*

Charles: "Are you ready for our big camping trip this weekend, son?"

Chuck: "You bet, dad!"

Cheri: "You are 14 years old now, Chuck. Maybe dad will show you how to navigate!"

Charles: "Sir Gilbert didn't give the award as 'The Greatest Navigator' for nothin'!"

Chuck: "Wow, I still can't believe you are the greatest navigator plushie to ever live!"

Later...

Charles: "Ah, the great outdoors! I will take you on a hiking trip later today, Chuck. I have to scout out the trails to see if they are safe or not. There are a lot of loose rocks that could cause rock slides!"

Cheri: "Chuck, I have to finish unpacking our things and setting up our blow-up beds. You can go and play if you would like."

Chuck: "Sure mom! I will be back in time for dinner!"

Charles: "Just don't go to far. Love you!"

*Blu comes through portal*

Chuck: "Hello, who are you?"

Blu: "Chuck! You can actually see me?! I must have been born. What year is it? How old are you?"

Chuck: "WOAH! How do you know my name, dude? I am 14 years old."

Blu: "Long story. I am kind of from the future. That means I am 8 Years into the past."

That Evening...

Cheri: "Where have you been, mister?"

Chuck: "Sorry mom, this is my new--well I mean old--friend Blu."

Cheri: "Honey, we need to talk. It is about your father. He never came back from his morning hike."

Chuck: "Where did he go? When is he coming back?"

Cheri: "I don't think he will be coming back. There was a massive rock slide. I am so sorry. We will get through this. He loved you very much. Lets go talk."

Cheri: "Chuck, just because your father is gone, doesn't mean he is really gone. He will always be looking down at you. Your father was 'The Greatest Navigator', and one day you will be 'The Greatest Navigator'."

Chuck: "Do you really think so?"

Cheri: "I know so. If you keep practicing and have faith. I know you will follow in your father's footsteps."

Blu: "Hmm... Maybe I can go back in time, and save his father. I don't know how, but there has to be a way!"

Two Days Later...

Chuck: "Mom, I am going to go with Blu for awhile. Blu thinks that he knows a way to get dad back."

Cheri: "How long will you be gone?!"

Chuck: "Maybe a day or so. Is that okay?"

Blu: "I will take good care of him. Plus, he is a great navigator!"

Cheri: "Okay, okay. Be careful though!"

Chuck: "Thanks, bye mom!"

*Hours Later*

Blu: "...so, that is why I have to go back to the present day. To save you and my other friends!"

Chuck: "Cool! Do I have a girlfriend in the future?"

Blu: "Haha, yes. Her name is--"

*SWOOSH! Gecko Appears*

Chuck: "Uh, did you just come through that sparkly portal?"

Gecko: "Yes. Stop right there Blu the Monkey. We need to talk."

Zero has thrown Blu back in time for eternity, but Blu hasn't given up hope yet! He met Zero as a child in the past; however, he has discovered no one can see or hear him because he hasn't been born yet. Now, Blu has went through a portal to find his way back to the present...

*25 Years Ago*

Blu: "Woah! Where am I? Where did that portal take me? I wonder what year it is. HEY! THAT IS MY MOM, BONNIE!

She looks so... young! I wonder what she is doing at this art gallery."

Bonnie: "This is great art!"

Blu: "Mom! Can you hear me?!"

Bonnie:  *hums*

Blu: "It was worth a try.."

Berry: "Excuse me, miss. I am usually not this straightforward, but would you like to look at the art gallery with me?"

Bonnie: "I would love to!"

Blu: "Did I just witness my dad meet my mom and ask her out on a date?!"

Berry: "This one is my favorite. It shows how beautiful our universe is."

Bonnie: "I love it. God's creation is so vast."

Berry: "That was some great art."

Bonnie: "Not as great as you. I am glad you asked me to come with you today."

*Leans in to kiss*

*Lights shut off*

Bonnie: "WHAT'S GOING ON?!"

Berry: "It's okay! It's okay! The Art Gallery must be closed. We were so busy looking at the art, we didn't notice the time. I see a power box at the top of that waterfall."

Bonnie: "Oh, be careful, Berry! I don't want this date to be our last!"

Berry: "Relax, it is not that high. I just need to climb up this wall, and flip the switch. Besides, we are monkeys!"

*Lights turn on*

Bonnie: "You did it, Berry! You are a life saver. Now, maybe we can find our way out of here."

Berry: "Is it just me or do you feel like we have known each other forever?"

Bonnie: "I feel the same way."

*Outside the Art Gallery*

Berry: "I know we just met, and everything, but I feel like I know you very well. I want to spend the rest of my life with you to have more adventures like we did tonight. Will you marry me, Bonnie?"

Bonnie: "It is all of the sudden, but of course I will!"

Blu: "Wow, that was fast! Boy, I sure miss them a lot."

Later...

Berry: "Thanks for meeting with us on such short notice Pastor Pufflewig."

Pufflewig: "No problem. Now, lets get on with the ceremony."

Blu: "I would love to stay, but everyone needs me back in the present. Time to go through another portal. I miss you, mom and dad."
